Meet the Doc
Dr. Rebecca Wilder is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. She discovered chiropractic as a youth athlete in San Francisco Bay Area where she grew up. At age 10, her mother took her to a sports chiropractor to help manage her injuries so she could continue to play soccer at a competitive level. Rebecca left the busy Bay Area after high school and went on to play college soccer at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin where she received a leadership scholarship and obtained a Bachelor of Arts while volunteering to help develop and coach the local highschool's girls soccer program.
As a former student athlete, Dr. Wilder attributes her ability to participate at a competitive level to her continual chiropractic care, and feels this has developed a large part of her why she practices Chiropractic. She feels, "nobody at any age should be popping anti-inflammatories and pain killers the way I did in high school. There are better ways to get pain free, and a lot of them involve food choices. I only wish I knew of them earlier. I think anyone and everyone can relate to that." Dr. Wilder is passionate about educating kids and adults alike in better food choices and non toxic products in the home. Read more in services section.
Her studies steered her towards "wholistic" care for every person with a dedication and passion to share information so better decision making can be made about what we put in our bodies. She aims to empower everybody by providing attainable goals of a healthier life, and present alternative conservative options to heal, repair and manage conditions of the body that may be keeping them from performing activities of daily living or things they used to enjoy and have stopped doing.
Dr. Wilder also became a parent while obtaining her Doctorate of Chiropractic. The arrival of her twin sons fueled her passion for caring for pregnant women, babies and all kids (adult-sized ones too). Chiropractic care proved to be essential for her two boys at only a few months old. Read more in "why do kids need care" section. Dr. Wilder is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

As a parent, Dr. Wilder is dedicated to make Chiropractic care affordable for the whole family and every family. Dr. Wilder shares her life with her wife, a past UVA cross country runner. Their twin sons and their dog make up the Wilder-DeMicco family, and together moved to Charlottesville in 2016. They are active in scouts, music, and are often hiking, biking, running road races, swimming, playing soccer, baseball and outdoors as much as possible.
Since moving to Charlottesville, Dr. Wilder is a member of Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce, and is actively involved in the Burnley Moran PTO and the C'ville Pride Organization.
